I grew up in Hobart and have spent most of my life living, studying, and working here. I’ve lived in New Town for the past decade, but have also lived in South Hobart, West Hobart, Richmond, Sandy Bay and Glen Huon.
I am a truly independent candidate. I represent residents and ratepayers, not political parties, and I will always look out for people who are doing it tough. I have my own experiences of living in poverty, and I’ve spent years working to help others in the same situation. I know many of those people just need a hand up to get back on track.
I’m also a keen vegetable gardener, and I especially enjoy growing lots of different tomato varieties with my wife. My tips for growing tomatoes in Hobart? Get your seedlings from Eve’s Garden in Petty St, West Hobart, and don’t plant your tomatoes outside until well after Show Day. Yes, really!
